Cabins in Spring

There are almost no other locations in the Canadian Rockies that offer private cabin accommodation in the Rocky Mountain park areas. Our rustic cabins are located in the pristine wilderness of the Wapiabi Provincial Recreation Area. Solitude is guaranteed, as motorized access is not permitted in the area.

The various unique routes into the cabins allow us to explore the ecology of the area. The shortest route is a two- to three-hour steady hike, backcountry ski or snowshoe. We cater to all abilities and are happy to discuss practical ways that we may facilitate travel to the cabins for those with reduced mobility. We believe ability should not prevent anyone from enjoying a backcountry experience.

There are two large cabins complete with bunk beds that sleep up to four people. For single or twin occupancy, there are two smaller cabins. Simple yet comfortable mattresses and blankets are provided — just bring your sleeping bag. Firewood for the wood stoves is pre-cut and ready to use.

The communal dining area is at the heart of our setup where your guide prepares wholesome, tasty meals for you. Daily meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner and trail snacks) are provided as well as hot and cold beverages. If you let us know of any dietary or food allergy requirements at the time of booking, we can modify our menu to accommodate you.
